Not attempting to add to a playlist here, but just had to say, “holy shit, that song was originally by The Four Lads?”

Like most people, I was only aware of that song on account of TMBG, and assumed they’d written it. It’s definitely got their brand of quirkiness.

And I know of The Four Lads because my father used to sing some of their songs, particularly “Standing on the Corner,” when he was getting ready for his day. I can’t quite get my head around their doing a song that fits perfectly into TMBG’s repertoire.
