Shoegaze music

  1. There’s No Other Way - Blur

I’m sorry, but what does “shoegaze” mean?

I had to google it myself.

  1. There’s No Other Way - Blur
  2. Crazy For You - Slowdive

Seems a bit esoteric to me too, and googling still left me scratching my head. But then I couldn’t define progressive rock or grunge (picking examples from a google list) if my life depended on it. And I’ve actually heard of those two.

Even though most of this kind of stuff is quickly forgotten, sometimes I retain enough info to actually learn something.

And it all evens out. Cardigan probably rolls his eyes at some of the topics that I love.

Still in play:

I don’t mind the esoteric topics - they’re something different and a great changeup from some of the more mainstream topics. I know many of these bands mentioned but I didn’t know that they were in a genre called “shoegaze.” Ignorance fought!
