Yesterday, Mouse\_Spouse left to go hiking – at my urging. I needed to clean the house. Spouse is great at doing his share of household chores, but there is “clean” and then there is “stress-out angst-ridden obsessive compulsive clean.” Pity our two and three-quarters cats. The family felines suffered through strange sounds, awful chemical odors, and (dum- **DA-DUM**!) _ **The Vacuum** _ :eek: . Then there were the individual torture sessions: [Jake](http://new.photos.yahoo.com/dandyaster/album/576460762317454436/photo/294928803149606719/1) , the only slob cat I’ve ever encountered, got a bath. [Elwood](http://new.photos.yahoo.com/dandyaster/album/576460762317454436/photo/294928803149607523/4), the three-quarters cat, got a hinney-hair trim. He had developed a case of muddy-bottom. (Missing a back leg made this chore more difficult than one would think. :dubious: ) [Astrix](http://new.photos.yahoo.com/dandyaster/album/576460762317454436/photo/294928803149606361/0) , our youngest cat, was abused by his cranky elders and scolded by me. Poor guy. ☹ The whole day was either swats from the Grey Brigade, or being fussed at by me. _Get out of the garbage! How the hell did you get into the teapot?_ I hope they haven’t trashed the house as revenge. ::fingers crossed:: ---

At first I thought awwww, he’s still damp from his bath. Then I realized that he doesn’t bathe himself, does he? Is there a kitty NA? ---

[/QUOTE] For the 11 years I have had Jake, he has never been a clean cat. 😕 I caught him in a live trap along the levee in Baton Rouge, LA. Six pounds of cat and about a pound of worms. Poor guy. He’s a great cat. 😃 Been a foster father to many kittens. (Won’t groom himself, but will groom babies!! You could tell: they had wide wet tracks down their backs and sides.) Holds all dogs in contempt. ---
