I am pretty sure it was an F4 (that is the scale, right?).
I actually have a copy of the Edmonton Journal from that date kicking around somewhere. I’ll see if I can dig it up.

Um, has the column been edited since the tenth? It looks to me like the supposed fragment is a complete sentence, and “moist” appears to be spelled correctly.
