I am trying to find out how many U.S. military die in accidents worldwide. It is not hard to get figures for Afghanistan and Iraq theaters, but I am interested in all accidents, e.g., including CONUS. Anybody know where I can get this info?

[US Active Duty Military deaths - 1980-2004](http://web1.whs.osd.mil/mmid/casualty/Death_Rates.pdf) (Warning - .pdf file!)
That .pdf file includes deaths from accidents.

Thanks! I looked all over that website, but couldn’t find that page. I really appreciate it.

On a marginally related note, a couple years back the bulletin board in the Air Force hallway of the Military Science building at A&M had a memo from the Inspector General to “All Personel” requesting that airmen with extensive experience riding motorcycles take younger motorcycle-riding airmen under their wing, due to a recent rise in motorcycle related deaths of Air Force personel. I thought it was a rather interesting bit of paperwork since it never occured to me that folks like the IG issued orders (or suggestions, as the case may be) on such things.
