I have to say I have been wondering about the amount of press the whole Toyota recall thing has been getting. I mean, it was some gas pedals that were too long and getting stuck on a floor mat, right? Certainly something important, and a recall was needed, but cars get recalled all the time, don’t they? I’ve been thinking - what the heck is the big hairy deal with this one?
I have thought… maybe, just maybe some news conglomerates have been given “suggestions” from on high that this is a news story to run with. To do many reports on. To repeat the reports. Perhaps there is some linkage to the American automobile companies who don’t seem to mind the negative publicity their Japanese rival is getting.
It’s a bit conspiracy theorizing, but not exactly getting into tinfoil hat territory…
