winterhawk, you got that right. The Mirror Song (by “Steve and Yolanda”) is my favorite. The version in the movie with Robin Williams and Joan Cusack, bless their hearts, isn’t very good (though the video rocks!), but the cleaned-up version on the soundtrack with Thomas Dolby is excellent. I’ve heard Grace Jones say that she doesn’t claim to “sing” songs, she says that she “performs” them. She says that in a self-deprecating way, but all I’ve got to say is, wow, what a performer.
HPL, I have a soft spot for Casino Royale as well. Though I’m sure some would say that the aforementioned soft spot is located square between my ears.
