There’s some debate amongst South American friends, as to whether he actually listed all the Guianas, as French Guiana and Suriname were not specifically mentioned but fall under that category. ---

I wonder who TPUSA will be hiring for their show next year. Ted Nugent seems like the obvious choice. Maybe Limp Bizkit, if they’re looking to stick with a washed up ‘90s act. Perhaps Creed or Nickelback. ---

Well, I guess if they really want to curry favor with the orange emperor (as well as sticking with the theme of booking an act that the Evangelical crowd wouldn’t have touched with a 100-foot pole 30 years ago, but have since come to embrace), they could go with the Village People. ---

Only one of the original Village People is currently with the group: lead singer Victor Willis (the “cop”), though he had left for many years, before returning in 2017, after a lengthy legal battle over royalties and credits. Willis now holds the license to the band’s name and the “images” of the other group characters (the “leather man / biker,” the “construction worker,” etc.); he has hired a group of singers to fill those roles. ---

I understand what Bad Bunny was trying to get at. All of us, from Canada to Chile and Argentina, are technically Americans. But the way it came across, especially in light of Trump’s threats against Canada—well, maybe Bad Bunny should have left Canada out of the list. My fellow Canadian, @Northern_Piper, said it best above (paraphrased): “Calling us Americans is an insult.” Technically we are, according to geography; but realistically, according to geopolitics, we most assuredly are not. And implying that we are American is indeed an insult. ---

Depending on how far back you want to go, rather a lot of the Americas have had excessive local attention paid by the USA.
