I recently retired and rolled my 401k into a fund that will (I hope) pay my granddaughter’s college in 16 years. My account was closed and the check was issued the day before the slide began. Good clean living pays off! Meanwhile, I’m not going to look at our other retirement funds. Not just yet… ---

I’ve got a couple of companies that I’m seeking funding for and the investors I’ve been talking too are pushing hard to get the money into my companies since they pulled it from the stock market and they don’t just want to sit on it. So far this has been good for me, hopefully it doesn’t go through the floor and no one wants to buy what I’m selling. ---

It’s down 2,000, biggest drop since 2008. My meagre portfolio takes a hit. I’m OK with that for now because it could help the country ditch an even greater threat. I’m sorry for people who were about to retire on their 401k’s, though. This “correction” wasn’t unexpected, was it? I’ve been hearing this was coming for months now, and I’m not exactly the savviest investor. ---

I guess this is the 5th one. So they’re getting better at it. But yeah, this was something that was said to be coming for a little over a year now.
