The LA Clippers and Portland Trail Blazers agreed on a trade today. So, there is a chance that the former Clippers and Blazers could play for their new team against their former team tonight.

I’m sure this has happened before, but I can’t remember any specifics? I seem to remember reading about a baseball player being traded between games of a doubleheader.

Joel Younblood played for two different teams in two different cities in one day.

But your answer are Max Flack and Cliff Heathcoat who were traded for each other between games of a doubleheader and played in both games. Jose Cardinal was also traded between games of a doubleheader, but did not play for the other team.

I think Joel Youngblood was an Expo and a Met on the same day. Probably around 1983 or so. No web search done, so those details may be a bit off.

I think Doug Weight was traded from the Rangers to the Oilers during the afternoon before a game between the two teams. He was traded in March of 1993.
