The last few seasons of Dexter kind of soured me on the series to the point where I’m not very excited about a revival. I’ll get around to watching it but it’ll be a while because I doubt it’ll be on any streaming service I’m subscribed to.

I plan to give it a try. The original series suffered a similar fate of a lot of shows of this type – too many seasons, where they keep trying to outdo previous seasons. I think enough time has passed that this could be good.

I’d say, in retrospect, most people don’t like the show in general past Season 4.

I actually really LIKED the finale–everything but Harrison ending up in the care of that actual sociopath (they REALLY needed to just throw money at Julia Stiles to have her Lumen character come back for a few episodes)…so I’m torn about the follow-up. At least it doesn’t appear to have ret-con-ed the finale.

Stiles is starring in a British show but I guess she could also do Dexter if they want her back
