Like many people, I’m very unhappy with Vista, and I’ve decided to install XP on my laptop instead. However, I can’t figure out how to transfer my files and settings. I tried running the XP files and transfer wizard (from the XP CD) on Vista, and it crashed with a less-than-helpful error. I know I can manually copy off the files I need, but transferring settings is a little more difficult than that.

Anyone have any ideas?
