The standard definition of transman is a person who identifies as a man, but was assigned the female sex at birth. The standard definition of transwoman is a person who identifies as a woman, but was assigned the male sex at birth. I ask because a transman trying out for a woman’s scholarship would be counter to the trans movement’s goal of recognizing transmen as men.
