I was Skyping a long-standing friend when he seemed to ‘convulse’. 😳

Fortunately the accompanying sound effect [7 second Elephant Fart (youtube.com)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ry3evY54v84) revealed that he was just ‘releasing the tension’. 😉

Anyway, let me add a touch of class.
I would like to send my pal a proposed family motto of ‘ **May your breaking of wind be prolonged** ’.
Of course such mottoes should be in Latin, so please could I get a translation here?

(I tried Google translate which came up with ‘Pedit tuum ut diuturna’ - but I reckon you lot can do better. 😀 )

You are perhaps aware that Google Translate does not understand Latin? As in, at all?

There are many ways to say this, but the Google Translate result you post is not one of them. I’ll give it a start with _peditum tuum permaneat_.

As I posted, I thought you could do better than Google!

Thanks for the replies. 😃
