I’d go with the psychic/medium. As others have already mentioned, they tend to be pleasant, friendly people, and they’re generally capable of turning off the act and being normal. Conspiracy theorists can’t turn it off (I know a 9/11 truther, and she’s gotten into trouble at work for never shutting up about it). Psychics also have entertainment value. Nobody pays money in Vegas to see an anti-vaxxer or a Holocaust denier ranting on stage. ---

for #1 I picked the psychic/medium, as least likely to cause me to damage the elevator using their body. For #2 I picked the Holocaust denier, as being most likely to cause me to damage the elevator using their body. ---

I’d rather be stuck with the psychic, and after that the YEC only because I don’t know much about it so it would be interesting to learn about and yet doesn’t involve thinking about human death. Boot the Holocaust denier. ---

Really don’t care about the vax issue much at all so that one would be easiest for me to ignore. But I really get annoyed at the Holocaust deniers so that ones out. ---

A bit off subject - I was trapped alone in the elevator at work not long ago. Our staff elevator has been having problems for a while. After I rang the alarm and knew that my colleagues had called the repair man I was actually enjoying the quiet and solitude. I had a book cart with me (unfortunately it was empty) so I just sat on it while they were working on getting me out. I was texting back and forth with my boyfriend - we work together. What I thought would be just a short while turned out to be 48 minutes. Most of that time I was stuck between floors. Had I known that it was going to be THAT long, I would have…um…well you know…😃 ---

I’d keep the psychic - since I write paranormal stuff, it might actually be fun chatting with them about their experiences as a working medium. Might get some story ideas out of it. I’d boot the Holocaust denier - the rest of them would be annoying to listen to, but not actively offensive. ---

I’d pick the young earth creationist as my companion. I figure their beliefs are based on religion and are most likely to be sincere rather than an act. And I enjoy discussing theology. The Holocaust denier would be my least favorite choice. Because odds are he or she is also a Nazi sympathizer and racist. ---

Keep the psychic/medium, because whereas all of the choices are delusional, he or she is, as has been pointed out, a more entertaining type of delusional. I’d kick out the Holocaust denier, because I would like to see all Holocaust deniers rounded up and executed, and I don’t feel the same way about the other choices. ---

Great poll. I chose to keep the anti-vaxxer - I’ve casually interacted with people who were anti-vaxxers, and most of them seemed surprisingly sane until you hit on their pet topic. A psychic might be fun just to try to understand their craziness, but I feel as though it would permute their personality more. 9/11-ers irritate me because they’re so damn _arrogant_ (all the people on this list are arrogant, given the nature of conspiracy theories, but they seem to use the word “sheeple” most), and I haven’t met enough YECs to know where they fall on the annoying scale. A Holocaust denier, however, would probably end up with me going to jail for assault. Plus, of all of them, I feel they have the least interesting rationale behind believing what they do - they’re just run-of-the-mill anti-Semites. I’d boot them out. ---

Also: while psychics who just believe they have special insight are mostly harmless, to me being a “practicing psychic” indicates you’re taking money from people, which makes it morally shadier. ---
