I’m incapable of eating that much sugar first thing in the morning, but my husband nearly died of happiness the first time he tried* pain au chocolate aux amandes*.
And yes, there are great things about being in Paris in August, like getting amazing pictures in areas that would usually be really crowded.
I’m narrowing down travel times, and I think I want to travel April 30 (a Saturday) thru May 8 (Sunday return). Any suggestions on best ways to get the best airline fare? I’m assuming the old “book 21 days in advance” rule is still the way to go, but should I wait as close to 21 days out as possible (in other words, early April) to book? Right now I think I will be flying into Paris.
I’m thinking of spending a day or so in Paris, then taking the TGV train out to Brittany and getting a car there, overnighting in Mont St. Michel, and then heading down to the Dordogne. Any further suggestions are welcome!
