W00ts! for your G-paw, **mousie**. I’ve had my parents go quite young and my grandparents go quite old. I don’t which is worse–the unexpectedness or the cascade of elder issues. Continued good thoughts for your Da, **Rebo**. I give my very first trout slap to whomever or whatever has caused your section to move twice (the bastids). The second slap is for the longer commute. It was delish, **taxi**. Here ya go: **Madras Coconut Chicken Curry** 1 chicken breast, sliced thin ½ onion, chopped or sliced 2 celery sticks, sliced thin on an angle 12 pea pods, or ½ cup frozen peas (I nuke frozen peas first till warm-ish) ½ red bell pepper, sliced, chopped or finely diced 1-2 cloves garlic, minced 6-8 scrubs of frozen ginger across a microplane—about 1 T minced 1-2 T Patak’s Madras curry paste fresh cilantro and/or green onions squeeze of fresh lime vegetable oil for stir frying 1/2 can coconut milk (the kind with the least ingredients) NOTE: If you have the premium coconut milk, just can just use the thick stuff on top, or shake the whole can before you open it for a thick cream. Add a good splash of canola oil into hot wok. Stir fry the chicken. Add onion, garlic, ginger, curry paste. Toss briefly. Add celery and pea pods/thawed peas. If you chopped your bell pepper into chicnks, add them now too. Toss a minute or two. Add enough coconut cream to make sufficient sauce. Squeeze lime to taste. Continue cooking just until it starts to boil, then remove it from heat. Toss in cilantro and/or green onions and stir to wilt a bit. Serve over rice. VARIATION: You can use less coconut cream and add chicken stock for an awesome soup. ---

Brief moment to post between insanities. I came home from work, took the doggies out, and came into the house with doggy poop on one shoe. Stoopit doggies! I made up a great big pot o’sketty sauce - some for supper, most for the freezer. Talked to \*\*FCD \*\*- he got an email from one of the company VPs wanting to know if he’d like to discuss being a division director - having up to 100 people under him. :eek: On the plus side, it’ll be more money, and he’ll have real engineers working for him, not like that idiot woman he had at NASA. On the down side, he doesn’t like being in charge as much as he likes being a designer. Still, he’s only been there less than a year - obviously he’s impressed someone. I knew he was a good 'un, even if he doesn’t believe it. Anyway, he needs to decide if he’s interested or not. I need to do a sketch for my first project in class, and I need to pack my tote so I’m not taking a wal-mart plastic bag for my stuff. That’s kinda tacky. I also need to change - don’t wanna get my nice pink top all grubby. \*\*Nava \*\*- what an adorable baby! **Bbbobbio** - do good on your re-test - that’s an order! 😛 Hugs all around, just because. \*mmmmmmmmmmm \*sketties smell good. Doggies want to be fed. Guess I should tend to that. ---

More hugs for mousie-Grandpa and Rebo-Dad. Yes…we expect pictures from the mini-MMPFest. Yay for a possible promotion for **FCD**. Posted curried chicken recipe to the blog. Sounds yummy. Is there something about this January that makes it obligatory _Angel_-watching season? I’ve been watching season 1 on hulu since I missed it when it was originally shown. They have season 1 of Buffy too. I imagine I’ll make it to that eventually and then borrow the remaining from the library. I’m making plain sketties with butter and cheese. That just sounded good. Even the noodles were leftover. See, it’s just moi tonight so I mixed some skettie sauce and noodles together last night and nuked it tonight. I have chawklit chips layin’ out on the kitchen counter to motivate me to make tollhouse cookies tomorrow since I’m off and all. Bakin’ up some cookies will make it look like I accomplished sump’n. Home. Finally. Honest to Og, this vendor is driving me to drink. In fact, over the past couple of days, I’ve developed a weird little tic in one eye that kicks in at the mere hint of an Israeli accent, because I know that a torrent of profound stupidity will inevitably follow. Gah. **Vundie** , since you won’t need your axe, mind if I borrow it for a couple of days? 🙂 **criminey** , that curry sounds divine. I think I have all the ingredients kicking around the house, actually, so I just might have to make it for dinner sometime on the weekend. Nom nom nom. Yay for **FCD**! Howdy, all. Have read all and retained not much. Except for cute pictures of cute little girls (HRH and Paula). Anyway, I’m feeling somewhat antisocial, plus I have a pile of work to do (finally!), plus I have that concert to watch on YouTube (thanks, I think it was **gt**!), and at some point I’d like to get some sleep since I’m yawning my head off already. I am truly pathetic sometimes. Anyway, hugs to those who need them, and I’ll try to be more chatty when I get caught up on this work. And at some point I need to show you guys the pretty lacy scarves I’m going to make for my two nieces who are graduating this spring, one from college (she’s the one getting married in 2010) and the other from law school. But I’m too tired to dig up the links right now. Back to the salt mines. ---
