Hmmm… So instead of a trip around Cape Horn, we are a dozen or so miles from Long Island. Bit of a difference there.
For the trip to Easter Island I was going to recommend something like this At least you have sails when you run out of fuel They make them bigger, and more robust. Called a motorsailer.

Can I take a rain-check on being included in Vol. II … getting introduced in Vol III sounds much healthier. You’re going to have a cure by then I should hope. Something about your seafaring Cap’t asking what the hell a compass is kinda has me nervous.
Block Island is boring. Have them go to Ascension Island.
If you really want to “get away from it all” (especially zombies) I would suggest Inaccessible Island.
No I don’t hold any other titles, I chose to advertise my name then show my pen-name, so that family and friends would know they had the right me. I didn’t continue using my real name because there is a ton of books associated with my real name. So I changed my first name only hope this helps with your questions.
