Far from perfect, but best I could do in a hurry: _Goodbye Straight Dope’s rose,_ _May you ever grow in our hearts,_ _You were the soul that kept us calm,_ _When our board was torn apart._ _You called out to us Dopers,_ _And you told us it would be all right,_ _Now you belong to heaven_ _You’re a new star in the sky tonight._ _And it seems to me you spent your time,_ _Like an Admin with a plan._ _You always knew what to do,_ _Said what we cannot and what we can._ _You steered us for years,_ _Upon the Straight Dope message board._ _Your advice will be remembered,_ _Your legacy’s adored._ _So much we have lost,_ _We’ll carry on, but we’ll miss you so,_ _Your influence will long last here,_ _More than you’ll ever know._ _Goodbye, Straight Dope’s rose,_ _From Dopers all around the planet Earth,_ _To whom you gave so much,_ _And gave this board its worth._ _Tuba, you steered us well,_ _Upon the Straight Dope message board._ _Your advice will be remembered,_ _Your legacy’s adored._ ---

I’d like to maybe write a piece of music in memory of **TubaDiva.** I hope that’d be okay. Such a sad loss. ---

What a loss…I lurk here more than participate, but I’ve always appreciated her, certainly she had to herd cats and at times, was in no-win situations…but she really seemed to handle it with grace and tact, she will certainly be missed…my thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends at this time… ---

We Remember Them _by Sylvan Kamens & Rabbi Jack Riemer_ At the rising sun and at its going down, we remember them. At the blowing of the wind and in the chill of winter, we remember them. At the opening of the buds and in the rebirth of spring, we remember them. At the blueness of the skies and in the warmth of summer, we remember them. At the rustling of the leaves and in the beauty of the autumn, we remember them. At the beginning of the year and when it ends, we remember them. As long as we live, they too will live, for they are now a part of us as we remember them. When we are weary and in need of strength, we remember them. When we are lost and sick at heart, we remember them. When we have decisions that are difficult to make, we remember them. When we have joy we crave to share, we remember them. When we have achievements that are based on theirs, we remember them. For as long as we live, they too will live, for they are now a part of us as, we remember them.
