# Trickle charging a battery

I keep [this](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=396728) thread in my bookmarks. Lots of good car battery info given by **Rick**. He agrees with the generator manufacturer you contacted that a battery reading 12.6V is not in need of a recharge.
