My point, as you well know, was that an administration that so vehmently condemns the use of WMD by other states yet is willing to use weapons that, I believe, clearly fall into any sustainable definition of weapons of mass destruction must give us concern about their future restraint for using more serious weapons. As pointed out in the other bits of the thread that you didn’t link to.
So I take it you haven’t managed to come up with a definition of WMD yet that allows you to exclude DU weapons, but include those fearsome rusty anthrax shells that Saddam was going to kill us all with?

Funny how some things must be accepted and left aside and other must continually be lauded as reasons for something to be done. This “accept it and leave it behind mentality” could have avoided some of the current circumstances. Still why should Iraqis and other countries accept the situation while the GOP keeps banging the drums of war and repeating 9/11 like a mantra ?

In fact the only item found (IIRC) was a rusty old sarin shell that exploded in the faces of the soldiers handling it. The WMD inside was so deadly that it took them an entire half hour to return to duty.
The point being of course that if SH or OBL were using depleted uranium in some fashion, we would spin it as a WMD so fast your head would twist off and ascend up to the sky like a flying saucer.
That has nothing to do with Avenger’s special idiocy. He has repeatedly made the claim that the use of depleted uranium is a WMD on the same order as anthrax or sarin. And it’s just not true.
I’m just saying that if you’re going to be flinging around terms like “ignorant twat”, it behooves you not to be one.

So don’t tell me not to question our rules of engagement if you yourself acknowledge that they can be improved. There have been many documented incidents in which a handful of inexperienced soldiers have been too quick on the trigger. This is fucking fact, and our feeling on the war and the admin waging it have fuck all to do with those facts.
