In play: Bangladesh was originally formed at the partition of India as the eastern part of the new nation of Pakistan. But the two parts were 1,000 miles apart, so they separated. Bangladesh associates its name with the Bengali-speaking people, who also dominate the Indian city of Kolkota.\*

The flag of Pakistan, dark green and white with a crescent moon and a five-pointed star close by it, is astronomically incorrect. In reality, the moon would block any star behind it, and of course stars are not pointed. The flag was officially adopted in 1947, three days before the country’s independence: [Flag of Pakistan - Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_Pakistan)

Āñjaneyāsana, also known as the Crescent Moon Pose, is a lunging back bending asana in modern yoga commonly used as exercise. Like many standing poses, Anjaneyasana was unknown in medieval hatha yoga, and was brought into modern yoga in the 20th century from Indian martial arts. The pose is entered from a lunge, with the back knee lowered to the ground, the back arched and the arms raised and stretched over the head. The toes of the back foot remain tucked forward, the heel lifted. The front foot remains in standing position, the hips lowered close to the front foot and the front knee fully bent and pointing forwards.

Maytag Blue Cheese has been manufactured by the Maytag Dairy Farms, near Newton, Iowa, since 1941. The cheese is based on a process, developed in 1938 by scientists at Iowa State University, for making blue cheese using cow’s milk instead of the traditional sheep’s milk.

Maytag Blue Cheese was introduced by Frederick L. Maytag II and Robert Maytag, who were grandsons of Frederick Louis Maytag I, the founder of the Maytag appliance company.

Frederick, Duke of York was the second son of George III. He had a less than stellar military career, leading to the children’s song;

_The Grand Old Duke of York,_
_He had ten thousand men,_
_He marched them up to the top of a hill,_
_And marched them back again._

The title of Duke of York has been traditionally given to the second son of the monarch since the 15th century. However, it has never yet been inherited by a son of a Duke of York. The holder has either died without sons, or has himself become king. That pattern will repeat when Andrew, Duke of York, dies without sons.

Not in play: American boy scouts singing royalist songs? what is the world coming to?

Actor Richard Anderson played Oscar Goldman, the director of the fictional Office of Scientific Intelligence (OSI), and supervisor of Steve Austin, on the television series _The Six Million Dollar Man_ from 1973 until 1978. Anderson also played Goldman in the spinoff series, _The Bionic Woman_, from 1976 through 1978.

Initially, both series were shown on ABC, but for its final season, _The Bionic Woman_ moved from ABC to NBC, meaning that Anderson was appearing simultaneously as the same character in two different television series, on two different networks.

The term “Original Six” is used to refer to the six National Hockey League teams which made up the league from 1942 until 1967 (when the league expanded, adding six new teams). The six teams are the Montreal Canadiens, Toronto Maple Leafs, Boston Bruins, New York Rangers, Detroit Red Wings, and Chicago Blackhawks.

Despite the name, only the Canadiens and Maple Leafs were actually charter members of the league at its founding in 1917, though the remaining four of the set did join the league during its first decade.
