Hmmm… not sure who I should be following, so I’ll cover all bases…
Keying off “Spider”:

One of Clint Eastwood’s earliest movie roles was an Air Force pilot dropping napalm on a giant spider, in “Tarantula.”

Keying of “Boyle”:

Cereal magnate John Harvey Kellogg was a character in “The Road to Wellvile” by T. Coraghessan Boyle.

Okay, reuniting the divisions:

Anthony Hopkins, who played Dr. Kellogg in Road to Wellville, said that his animal inspirations for Hannibal Lecter included a [tarantula and a crocodile](http://www.theinsider.com/news/724176_Anthony_Hopkins_Based_Hannibel_Lecter_On_A_Crocodile). (I played Boyle off of blondebear’s Young Frankenstein, so they’re one again; for those not familiar, some actors use animals as inspirations [their gestures, personality, etc.] when ‘building a character’.)
