Charlie Chaplin’s **The Gold Rush** shows a shot of prospectors in [one ridiculously long line](http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rYr82CbbkvE/Tw2oBxrklKI/AAAAAAAAAfQ/DanLxXUiUOU/s1600/gold%2Brush%2B1.png) up the mountain to get to the gold fields. This seems like a joke, but is based on the [Chilkoot Pass](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Chilkoot-summit-1898.jpg) in the Yukon Gold Rush.

King once remarked “you can put a song about Christmas anywhere in a musical” and to prove it, he wrote a scene in the Best Little Whorehouse in Texas where, as the “girls” prepare to leave Miss Mona’s Chicken Ranch they sing “Hard Candy Christmas,” though Christmas has never been mentioned until that point.

Ismay is a town in Custer County, Montana, United States. The population was 19 at the 2010 census. The town’s name is an amalgamation of Isabella and May, the names of the daughters of Albert J Earling, division superintendent (later president) of the Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul Railway.
(I just had to look that up to see if there was any connection to the Bruce Ismay of Titanic / White Star. There isn’t.)
