[Peter Ford](http://www.peterford.com/ratc.html) bought a copy of Bill Haley and the Comets "Thirteen Women (And Only One Man in Town). When his father Glen Ford was chosen to star in the movie based on Evan Hunter’s book Blackboard Jungle, the producers needed a “rock and roll song” for the soundtrack. Ford recommended the A-side of his son’s record “Rock Around the Clock.”

And thus rock and roll history was made.

The tiger is the animal mascot of Princeton University (in part because the orange and black coat of a tiger matches the school colors). It is not unusual for a real caged tiger to be present at major alumni events like the annual “P-rade.”

Macdonald’s government, which guaranteed that the Macdonald government would fall. An outraged Macdonald is said to have yelled out in the Commons that “I can lick that fellow Smith faster than Hell could scorch a feather!”

Glacial Lake Missoula, during the last ice age and held back by an ice dam, suddenly and catastrophically exploded through the ice dam to scour the countryside of Washington and Oregon. The amount of water, larger than the current volume of the Great Lakes, rapidly and suddenly drained to the Pacific Ocean over the course of a few days and violently carved geographical features seen today such as the Grand Coulee, the Columbia River Gorge, and the Channeled Scablands of eastern Washington state.
