I don’t think Malcolm does. I actually saw that episode where Hoshi was stalking him and stuff for his birthday and I seem to remember him being an only child. Who likes pineapple. Yuck. ---

They were _planned_ to be used as futuristic salt shakers, but Gene decided they would confuse too many fans. Who played the human form of Isis in “Assignment: Earth.” And if you dare say the name I think you’ll say, please supply corroboration other than some link that says it. So far as I know, this has never been credibly answered. And. . . Where in **Star Trek: The Motion Picture** where does it establish that Will Decker is Matt’s son? I had always assumed it, but I never saw any corroboration in the movie. Was that something in the script that never made it to the final edition. I think that in the novelization of the screenplay, the gal in the transporter who ended up as protoplasmic goo had had some kind of relationship with Kirk, but that didn’t show up on screen–and may have just been added to the novel. ---

_Where in Star Trek: The Motion Picture where does it establish that Will Decker is Matt’s son?_ I got it out of the synopsis for the movie in the book _The Star Trek Compendium_ by Allan Asherman ISBN: 0-671-68440-X Background info is commented on after the synopsis, so I’m assuming some reference was made during the film as shown. If I break both my arms any time soon, I’ll watch the movie again and see. The female woman Isis was among the most attractive women ever to appear on TOS. My personal theory is it was the director’s girlfriend. ---

**Aes** , according to the book I listed above, the items were designed while they were working on the script for _The Man Trap_. They were going to have all sorts of interaction with salt shakers and the Salt Vampire. No such luck, though. They looked _too_ futuristic. So much so that Gene thought they would never be recognized as salt shakers. So, they became scanners for the medical tricorders. As far as whether they were ever actually used at any time as a salt shaker, I just don’t know. **Viva**! _Enterprise_ trivia?!? I guess it had to be someone. I never once in my darkest nightmares thought it would be you. [sigh] Oh well. btw, my Hawking TNG question remains unanswered. ---

Hawking had a cameo in _Descent_, which he had asked for on his tour of TNG’s set. So, I guess the q is answered. But, I was going for something else pretty significant showing he was a fan. This particular request is what led to the conv about being in an episode. Hint: it involves chairs. ---
