Um, I can think of at least five countries named after rivers in Africa. (Niger & Nigeria, both countries named Congo, The Gambia and probably Senegal).

I think the question meant two countries named for the same river, which I believe you answered correctly with Nigeria/Niger and the 2 Congos. They’re a re other countries named after rivers, but they are unique country/river combos.

As far as I know, that only has one answer, the US. What’s the other country with a land border? Two additional countries have maritime borders with Canada.

I expect the reference is to [Hans Island](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hans_Island), whose ownership is disputed between Canada and Denmark (for Greenland). There’s no agreed upon border on the island, so it really doesn’t count.

Interesting, but as the article says there is no defined land border at present and a settlement could involve joint administration. It might count someday but doesn’t now.

Of course, “most famous” is somewhat subjective, but what is OBJECTIVE is that he can only be **most** famous for one thing (depending on who you ask). Otherwise, just about any question of this type qualifies.
