# trojan on comp that i can't get rid of

i’ve got this on my computer (i have no idea how i got this) and i don’t know how to get rid of it. i just installed norton system works 2003 (because after i updated my windows ME to XP, my norton 2001 didn’t work anymore) and have run the virus scan (after i ran live update) but it didn’t get rid of the thing. i’ve searched all of [symantec.com](http://symantec.com) for sepuc and came up with nothing (do they even know it exicts?) any ideas on what i should do?

[Disable System Restore](http://vil.nai.com/vil/SystemHelpDocs/DisableSysRestore.htm), and try an online scanner like [Panda](http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/com/activescan_principal.htm) or [Housecall](http://housecall.trendmicro.com/housecall/start_corp.asp). Windows will not allow an AV program to delete viruses that are in the Restore folder.

You may not find it by that name on various AV websites, as they may have a different name for the same virus.

i can understand that they may have somewhat different names, but i can’t find ANTHING simular to this on symantec web site. don’t the major anti virus programs share info on new viruses?
