That **mr** guy was really playing that too-reactionary-for-school thing for all it’s worth. That his name was MR3 seemed especially appropriate to me since back in the day “MR” stood for “mentally retarded” which was the approved medical parlance. I happened to grow up near a state hospital that housed those folks, and many of the hospital employees lived nearby so the term was in common use locally. Remember when we had state hospitals to take care of folks in need instead of letting them roam the streets stealing from dumpsters? What the hell happened to our country?? Right-wingery, that’s what. I guess Mr. MR got what he wanted. The law, in its majestic rightist indifference, permits both the able-minded sane and the demented or feeble-minded to steal from dumpsters to live as they will. Freedumb indeed. ETA: And I see I scored post #3000 in the thread. I wonder what prize I get? Probably more trolls to beef about. ---

So the trolling is coming from a pure desire to make us more open minded to the “secret lizards who can only camouflage their eyes 99.99% of the time”-hypothesis. ---

I have a vague memory arguing with a poster several years ago who made the exact same claim that his father had a company that brought in 2 million a year and so that proves how awesome he was. Unfortunately I don’t remember enough about the thread or what portion of the argument against him I posted, but I’m wondering if one of the mods had the same memory as I did and this little bit of characteristic hubris is what led to his downfall. ---

As Roslynn Carter and others have noted, there wasn’t enough community infrastructure put in place before this happened. ---

That’s possible (who knows what arcane rituals go on within the hidden depths of the mod sanctum), but he’s been posting under this identity for a while and only just got pulled now. So I think some specific recent action on his part drew their terrible penetrating gaze. ---
