_ **Two** _ talking dogs. Arguing about a talking horse. The SDMB is indeed a wondrous place, full of talking animals, as well as assorted trolls, sea lions, and other marvelous creatures. Although [with the disappearance of the last known sea lion here about nine months ago](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/hurricaneditka-is-banned/844679) and with no further confirmed sightings, the species is presumed to be extinct.
