Usually yellow, but can be green or brown. Often have dark spots. I saw one recently that was remarkably camouflaged as a dog turd. ---

In the ever-popular department of ā€œIs it a troll or just a fucking moron?ā€, we have new-ish poster **thescrr** , who joined up in 2020 to seek romantic advice, went silent for two years, and is now regaling us with his wisdom ā€“ so much wisdom in such a short time that heā€™s already had one thread closure and two mod notes. Actually perhaps our ever-popular department should be renamed ā€œIs it a troll, a fucking moron, or just another 12-year-old?ā€. The contributions so far: - Russia is fully justified in invading Ukraine. - Why is the US wasting money on military aid to Ukraine? - Couples either should (or maybe should not) require a license to have children ā€“ itā€™s not clear from the rambling incoherence which one he supports. - A completely useless post in the GD thread about extraterrestrial intelligence, which he seems to feel is somehow informative. I note that this posterā€™s intro on his statistics page contains an admonition against ā€œverbal assaultsā€ and ā€œcharacter assassination plotsā€ against his person. Sounds to me like heā€™s quite accustomed to getting dumped on; for some reason it apparently happens to him a lot. Just unlucky, I guess. Maybe Iā€™m being mean here, but the pro-Russia bullshit set me off. ---

I was looking at thescrr myself, so I dropped in here to see if anyone knew more. So glad to see Iā€™m not the only one @wolfpup. But yeah, Iā€™d agree they seem to be aggressive and jerkish, but not clear if it was an a sock coming back to be a jerk, or just a natural jerk blowing back in after theyā€™d been potentially isolated somewhere else, online or IRL. But yeah, their inability to actual argue points in good faith or assume others can argue in good faith is a big old troll signature. ---

Okay, so, I know **HeyHomie** is a long time poster, but OMFG, the last few threads have been super combative, not to mention willfully blind. First there was how various ā€˜travelling peopleā€™ are by default scammers (with a half-assed ā€˜not all of themā€™ which still assumes the majority) along with offensive terminology. Then their aforementioned willful blindness in their ā€˜defenseā€™ of said thread in ATMB which, was somehow, worse, and most recently they came to my attention in the recent police went to employer thread (wherein the employer ended up paying out a multi-million settlement due to said behavior) and finding it overstep. Once? Sure, bad taste. Defending the bad taste? Okay, not so good. Ignoring the material in your own damn cite to try to stir up outrage or _something_? I just donā€™t get it, and Iā€™m not long enough duration to parse it, other than as suggested in ATMB as some form of suicide by mod. ---

**HeyHomie** has always been an less-than-ideal poster in my mind. Most of his OPs are terrible as are most of his responses. I donā€™t think this is new behavior. On the subject of that closed thread, Iā€™ve only ever heard the term Irish Traveler on this board. I guess they just arenā€™t that common in the US northeast? ---

Maybe a group(s) of them came over as part of the Irish famine driven diaspora of the mid 19th century? ---
