I’m leaning “trock” after reading that. Posting a deliberately divisive yet vague poll, harassing and mocking people for pointing this out, complaining about a non-existent “flame war”, wanting to provoke a “spirited debate” (in IMHO)… That thread has more red flags than a Chinese military parade. ---

Wow, in addition to going down a rathole about the word “tribal” in the original “Inclusive Language Guide” thread, to the extent that could only be called obsessive, and was derailing the thread, **RoxLux** then proceeded to start a poll thread whose sole purpose appeared to be to prove that he was “right”, and thus to win teh interwebs. When that backfired horribly, he then started not one but TWO more polls on the exact same subject, both of which were immediately closed. I’m gratified to see that this new poster, who we duly welcomed as instructed by the Discourse announcement, can now be bid a hearty adieu as our very newest bannee. It would be easier to deal with many of these interlopers in Hawaii where I understand “hello” and “goodbye” are the same word. I still don’t know for sure whether we had a sock, a troll, or just another new join who was not quite right in the head. But I’m sure he’s happier wherever he is now. Or at least, the rest of us are. ---

You can tell because they are of different lengths and are composed of different letters and sound differently when spoken and look different when read. ---

I would like to briefly explore this unhappy response of yours somewhat more in depth, if I may. Considering that your user profile is hidden, I advance the theory that you may be a humourless ornery sourpuss, possibly of the “you kids get off my lawn!” variety. I understand that accusing someone of lacking a sense of humour (or possibly, humor) is one of the most dastardly accusations that one can make in polite society. I therefore refrain from doing so, noting only that ornery sourpusses of the kind that have hidden user profiles tend, as a class, to be completely devoid of any detectable sense of humour. This is of course a generalization and should not necessarily be interpreted as any sort of calumny against your good self, the thought of which I assure you is the furthest thing from my mind. ---
