To be perfectly fair, in regard to the “hidden profile” thing, many people have ended up with hidden profiles by accident somehow. It’s often not done on purpose. (Though yes, a number of trolls, spammers, and other ne’er-do-wells have been known to hide their profiles intentionally.) ---

It’s funny, transphobes usually insist they’re the outspoken members of a silent majority pushing against “gender ideology.” If accepting transgender people really was as broadly unpopular as they claim it should be no fairytale to see bigots everywhere you look, as long as you assume “trans-exclusionary” as a definition of “bigot.” Instead what I see on the board is most people are welcoming or neutral toward trans people, with only a small vocal minority attempting to express their hatred in a way that doesn’t get them banned. Does identifying a handful of bigots count as seeing them around every corner? How many corners does the Dope have, anyway? ---
