Some people in the Rittenhouse thread, most or all of whom have their own pit threads already, have been positively delighted that he’s probably going to walk on the homicide charges. Because of justice? Maybe, if “justice” and “white vigilante killing liberals” is the same thing. I think it might be to them. Other than checking it for news updates, I’ve retreated from reading that thread in detail. The overall tone was making me feel almost greasy. Not really a pitting. Just a vent that needed to go somewhere generic. ---

If it makes you feel better I don’t think regardless of acquittal that Rittenhouse won’t “get away with it”. No more than OJ Simpson or [Casey Anthony](https://kutv.com/news/nation-world/casey-anthony-keeps-getting-drinks-thrown-in-her-face-at-florida-bar-police-say) did. He’ll be something of a pariah and will probably be hounded by the media for decades, if not the rest of his life, and will find it difficult to live a normal life. And that’s assuming that he doesn’t do something to get him tossed in prison eventually anyway like OJ did. ---
