JFC, he started a thread on Ilokano being endangered, which is the third or fourth largest language in the Philippines. Why doesn’t he start a thread on Agta, which has less than 50 speakers? For that matter, why doesn’t he start a thread on Chavacano, an actual Spanish creole? ---

I don’t know; that sort of tremendous breadth with almost no depth of knowledge about something one is obsessed with is fairly typical of autism (to the extent that anything is typical of autism). I think that’s a much likelier explanation than trolling. ---

I feel much more comfortable diagnosing someone with trolling than with autism because, you know, I am not a doctor. In any event, I’m fairly open-minded: trolling isn’t an activity reserved for the neurotypical. ---
