Oh, I put an asterix next to Magiver because I meant to circle back around to him. Fuck him, Sam, and Whack-a-Mole with their barely concealed erections for a war between the West and an Iran/Russia axis, and fuck their reaction to this absolute horror show of an atrocity being “let’s you and him fight”. And fuck their total disregard for Palestinian civilians, which fucking Walken\_After\_Midnight is so eager to ascribe to all Israelis. I almost started a Pit thread titled “Bad Takes on War in Israel” where I’d pit all four of them, but Walken did me the favor of dragging up the topic here. ---

Just for the record, I support and agree with your POV on the issue @Babale, although in my darker moments I too wish for a harsher treatment for the Palestinian population for their direct and tacit support of their leader’s actions. But I know that’s the emotional kneejerk reaction to friends and family put at risk for the gain of Hamas leaders and their pursuit of never-ending war or annihilation of their enemies. I feel better when I remind myself that I’m not them, nor will I let myself become them. But the nasty dark side remains, albeit hidden, whispering in the depths. Which is why again, I’m glad there are those who can both discuss what can be done, what should be done, and what must NOT be done in a rational manner. I’m not there yet. ---

Side note, after I flagellated myself over the TATA moment, I was wondering if we need a companion pit thread, something like “What were you THINKING?” here in the Pit, for our usual distractions where we have a poster we don’t think is a troll, but said something so fucking out there that it had to be ranted about, without going to the effort of giving someone their own dedicated thread. Since it’s one of our more common distractions. But I felt it would suck some life out of this thread, and didn’t think we really needed another general gripe thread. But on the gripping hand, it could be useful, and that title (or something like it) shouldn’t fall afoul of our Pit back-linking title issues. I think. ---
