I’ve got to believe that that is crossing the line of “don’t be a jerk”. If you are unwilling to acknowledge a quote because it’s contained in a tweet (or an “analysis” piece), you are giving up the privilege of being able to discuss a topic. Just because the source doesn’t have a gold fringe doesn’t mean it’s not a real source. ---

He’s a big fan of the “that source isn’t reliable because I don’t agree with it” approach. But he’s willing to cite the Daily Caller for his own arguments, which as we all know is completely unimpeachable in its journalistic intergrity. ---

Wow! All those cites basically backed him into a corner, so he just ignored them and said some bullshit about twitter. It’s like he wanted anyone providing those cites to get one of the original sources to join the SDMB, prove that they are the one who spoke the phrase, and then say it again. Talk about your original sources! That’s about as close to pure bullshit as I’ve seen on this board. ---
