I don’t get Martin Hyde vibes, although he had a few different personas here so this could be another one. I get more **Sliced Alone** - opinionated, contentious, never shuts up. ---

**dgy** seems particularly jerkish in **Is Windows 7 safe to use today?** And of course the entire thread seems like a troll (is it ever anything but when someone on a public board asks about or insists on using an obsolete operating system? They didn’t start the thread, but their drawer-smelling companion **jackson99** did). Anyway, IMHO, **dgy** is definitely trolling in IMHO. But of course IMHO tends to get more leeway than FQ or GD. The **OVER Large** screaming, scare quoted text for emphasis is always alarming. Makes me think of Hank Hill and, “I tell you what” after every pronouncement. ---

I must say, having the same initial-D purple “avatar” as DrDeth was already not gonna endear them to me. More so when they post right after each other, like in the “Movie version has taken over” thread. ---

Then when I resurrected the thread on not allowing hidden profiles a couple days ago (because trolls tend to use them), he made it public. Was it hidden since then? ---

In the past when it’s been suggested that the board might be the target of organized troll farms I’ve dismissed it pretty much out of hand because I didn’t think we were big enough to be a target of that sort of activity. Recently I’ve become less sure of that. To be sure trolls and trocks seem to go in waves. I know this is only anecdotal based on my own experiences, but it really does seem like there’s been a noticeable uptick within the last few months. ---
