I’m getting trolling vibes from **T J Eckleburg**. Recently started a thread in Factual Questions about Emperor Menelik. Posting history looks suspect. Not close to any red lines, so apparently cautious if a troll. ---

I can believe that. It’s a form of toponym - to get to that office, you need to fly to that airport, so the airport stands in for the office. ---

CLE for Cleveland, or ATL for Atlanta, isn’t too bad… but most folks wouldn’t know what ORD is. If you didn’t know that specific fact, and someone asked you to guess O’Hare’s airport code, you’d probably guess either CHI or OHA. ORD sounds like it should be Orlando. ---

Yeah, there’s a lot of randomness in the system. At least Chicago is a big city so some folks have learned that one.
