When a site asks me those questions, I always give a _non sequitur_ answer to it, something along the lines of (not an actual security question, I hope) "What does 5 +5 equal? My answer: _Blue_. ---

The way to deal with ā€œyour dogā€™s nameā€ as a security question is kinda like the scene in the Pink Panther movie when Inspector Clouseau walks into the lobby of an inn, and thereā€™s an old innkeeper there and a dog. Clouseau asks, ā€œdoes your dog bite?ā€ The innkeeper says, ā€œNoā€. Clouseau reaches over to pet him and the dog takes a big nip out of his hand. ā€œI thought you said your dog does not bite!ā€ Innkeeper: ā€œThatā€™s not my dogā€. Probably a very old tale but I still get a kick out if. Iā€™m easily amused. ---

I know. I was teasing you. But this naming every dog you ever have the same name. What is that? Convenience? So you donā€™t thru that calling your present dog every dogs name you ever had? Donā€™t want to think too much about it? I give names to dogs when I see them. Itā€™s almost automatic. There was stray(dumped off) dog in my yard this morning. I looked at her long enough. Saw, Pitbully type. Brown. One white foot on front. Recently had puppies. Named her ā€œGeraldineā€. ā€œDinyā€, for short" I had to leave. Iā€™ll never see her again. But, Diny I loved you for a few minutes, girl.
