New friend **santypanty** started a thread innocently asking if the BeeGees were old people music. (Currently in CS after the mod moved it there from someplace less appropriate.) Comes across as a naive 12-year old, but I noticed an interesting technical “tell”: their post is all of 5 characters long (“is it”). It takes a lot of specific knowledge to make Discourse accept less than 10 visible characters as a complete post. Someone knows more about the forum system than they seem they should. Yeah, this could be a preteen Discourse savant, but I’m still assuming horses instead of zebras at this point. ---

It’s a valid question, I think. It was just put in the wrong forum. If it was about almost any other Boomer rock band it might be suspect, but the Bee Gees _are_ kinda unique in the way their fan demographic changed. ---

I think when the SDMB went live, it was set higher and they lowered it to 5 pretty quickly. I wasn’t a Mod at that point. ---
