I couldn’t let this pass without observing… @MrDibble says (unconnected) that no analogy is perfect, and in the _very next post_ @DemonTree describes her own psychological condition, which turns out to be a perfect analogy for the way a trans person might describe their feelings in a world that rejects the validity of their identity.
