Can someone spoil for me how one becomes a vampire in this show’s universe? I saw (human) Bill forced to drink that vampire’s blood, but Sookie also did that. ---

Apparently, a vampire had to drink most of the victim’s blood, the victim has to agree or ask to become a vampire and then the victim has to drink the vampire’s blood. ---

He’s hot. **EofA** and **AuntiePam** I guess I just pictured in my mind that Eric would not only be tall but thick and muscular by Sookie’s so often reference of his big hands in the book. I think I personally took that image b/c my husband’s hands are so big and thick that his ring won’t even stay on my thumb. I agree he’s hot, just not what I mentally pictured. It would be just my luck that the day I transformed to a vamp that I’d have a quarter sized bright red zit on my forehead and a bundle of nose hairs drooping down to my upper lip. ---

Sorry people, I disagree, Alexander Skarsgard is [beautiful](http://cmsimg.detnews.com/apps/pbcsi.dll/bilde?Site=C3&Date=20080712&Category=OPINION03&ArtNo=807120385&Ref=AR)- just not in that wig. He’s Brad “Iceman” Colbert in \*Generation Kill \*, and damn fine too. And Rutina Wesley is one of the most beautiful women I’ve ever seen. I’ve just had a thought… I’ll be in my bunk. ---

I picked up the first one and, due to time constraints, I seem to be reading it at about the same pace as the show. I got just far enough ahead this morning to read that character’s entrance. It really depends on how they handle this, but I could also do without the celebrity vampire. ---

I’ve read through book five and I believe said character has been in everyone of them. I suspect Charlaine was a fan and that’s why said character appears?? \*\*irishgirl \*\*no one has said that Skarsgard isn’t a hottie (if you like tall thin blondes)just discussing whether or not he fits the description of Eric in the book. ---

I wouldn’t mind if Bubba showed up if they kept it minor as in teh books. I remember the books as being a lot funnier than the show ---
