I thought it was going to come out that what’s-her-name killed Joe Lee, by the way she shrugged off Tommy asking about him. My greatest wish now is for Hoyt’s mom to show up with a shotgun. Mama Lioness pissed off, and when Mama pissed off, ain’t nobody happy. You know that town would cover for her when the truth about Tommy’s parents came out. And I want Pam to kill that witch so bad. Sorry, awesome bitch vampire \> old hippie. Question for the book readers: I know that in the books, Sookie and Eric hook up while he’s all forgetty. But, um, how’s the timeline? I mean, does this happen later when he’s a little more confident in his situation, or do they hook up when he’s acting like a confused, naughty little boy? Or is his characterization just off from the books? ---

Disagree, I knew Tommy’s mom was lying when he asked her, “you left Joe Lee”? There was a moment of hesitation, then she said, “I did.” but there was a sort of rising inflection at the end. It wasn’t a positive strong declaration, but sounded like “I did, (yes, technically, but I went back to him a short time later)”. ---

Good gravy, I don’t give a shit about the witch. I hope Pam kills her sooner rather than later. So, now that Jason is a werepanther, is he going to hook up w/ Jessica and turn Hoyt darkside? I’m enjoying the season, still wishing for Bill to go away already. ---

I mean, Tommy did want to be brothers with Sam even after he shot him in the leg and pulled the ‘but we’re blood!’ on him over the oil scam. ---

What I can’t figure out is how HBO can do a black panther so well, even wolves, in Trueblood, but can’t seem to pull off a decent wolf for longer than 1.5 seconds in Game of Thrones. Seriously, wtf? ---

Wow–lots of naked in this episode. Not complaining. I was amused how they could get a wolf to express “Errr??” in seeing the sun-loving, swimming Eric. The werepanthers did bug me that they only change into black panthers (I recently learned that both jaguars _and_ leopards can be black, though it’s usually jaguars). No regular jaguars? Leopards? Mountain lions? I commented on this during the show, but hubby’s retort was, “But BLACK panthers are coooooooooooool!” I wonder if Jason will truly change at the next full moon, or if his fairy breeding or Jessica’s vamp blood will somehow heal or alter his change. Dude, Bill is boring. Evil Baby either needs to get a whooooooole lot more interesting, or the show just needs to lose the story line. Only thing I like is how cute the baby is. Awww. (Though I’m not fooled. I remember all too well what young babies are like.) I found it interesting how Spanish Witch (Switch?)'s Spanish was translated. The subtitles said “Behold your true self,” when what I heard sounded more like “see that which you are.” Not nearly as poetic as they wanted, I guess. And poor Pam. She needs some of the products advertised on _Six Feet Under_. (Although hot DAMN what she was wearing–gorgeous, if absolutely insufferably uncomfortable looking.) The whole time Tommy was in the choke hold, I kept saying, “Change into a fly! Or a bat! Or SOMEthing, would you??” Seriously, WTH on that one. I’d like to end my random observations by saying the opening credits and theme song do an incredible job of setting mood. One of my favorites, ever. (_Six Feet Under_ still wins that IMO.) ---

Relationship-based book spoilers for the rest of the books [spoiler] This is how it goes in the books: Books 1-3: Sookie dates Bill, then breaks up with him. Sookie nearly slept with Eric (they got as far a foreplay before being interrupted) towards the end of book 3, post-break up with Bill, after she got staked saving a vampire at the werewolf bar Book 4: Sookie and Eric are together, and have a lot of sex, but only while he has no memory. Once he gets his memory back, he doesn’t remember their sexy-times which mortifies her Book 5: she kind of sort of dates Alcide but not for long because…let’s just say that an expected sexual practice for wolves totally squicks her out and has her worrying about his character Books 6-7 (and maybe 8?): she spends a while not dating anyone but eventually she dates a weretiger named Quinn who ultimately picks trying to fix his mentally broken mom and sister over her. Books 8 or 9 to 10: Eric tricks her into marrying him via a vampire ceremony because it’s the only way to keep her safe from the new vampire king’s underlings, which pisses her off at first, but they really _do_ become a fairly loving couple Book 11: prior to his true death, Eric’s stupid maker (not Godric, who is a completely different and very minor character in the books/short stories) arranged for Eric to marry a queen…and Eric and Sookie seem to be on the verge of breaking up over it at the end of the book because Eric seriously considers “divorcing” her to honor his late maker’s wishes. There are two more books to go, ftr[/spoiler] **Ruffian,** but he’s such a smart baby!
