Inspired by [this pit thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?p=9350654#post9350654) about the results of the NH Primary Election, I figured it’d be fun to make up some “True Facts” about the State of New Hampshire these “facts” are similar to the “facts” about Chuck Norris/Mr. T/Vin Diesel/etc… The “Facts” spinoff seemed to have started with **Captain Amazing** ’s post; [QUOTE=Captain Amazing] You’ve got that right. I’m just gratified that my own contribution to that Pit thread was recognized as the deadly serious warning it was, instead of being mistaken for some patently untrue “Chuck Norris Facts”-style made up nonsense such as this. Seriously, people: some things are simply not appropriate to joke about, and New Hampshire is one of them. ---

The NEW in New Hampshire is an acronym. It’s actually Never Eff With Hampshire. That fifty-first state made a huge mistake… ---

Amusing but True bumper stickers seen on some NH cars; “Welcome to New Hampshire…now GO HOME!” In New Hampshire, “Tourist Season” is _EXACTLY_ what it sounds like, the politicians try to hush-it-up, but “Tourist Season” _IS_what it is, and there are no bag limts 😉 When Maine grows up, it wants to be New Hampshire ---

It sure is. I loved the shot in **Affliction** where sign post near the school has a “Drug-Free Zone” sign and then a NH Liquor Store sign right under it. I know, it was probably staged, but I’ll keep my eye out. It has dropped at least ten degrees since before we started making fun of NH.
