An aspen grove in Colorado is considered one of the largest living organisms at 6,600 tons; one of the oldest living organisms at 80,000 years old.

Aspen trees in a grove are connected by a single root system. This particular one has been named Pando (latin for “I spread”)

Silly city person, that was only true in the olden days! These days most milk cows are not brought in, hence the pasteurized milk you see in the grocery cooler. Meat cows, however, are still brought in at night. Pasteurized meat would just be weird.

True fact, been a long week and I thought that I started this thread but wasn’t sure where I had put it. Yes it can be any true fact, however I was talking about the “True Facts” on animal topics usually some of the weird sexual positions that they talk about are pretty funny. I like where this thread went organically though, so might be just as well that I forgot where I started it, funny the way things work.

I am not a city boy! I was organically grown on a farm.

But, we had beef cows, hence my confusion.

OK, I’m going to kill everyone’s buzz here and be the total nerd and pick this nit.

It depends on your definition of “fact”. In rhetoric, the term is often used to refer to a statement whose truth is objective: it’s either true or false. “Don’t argue facts, check them.” Wikipedia has a fairly good bit covering this:

> [@wiki](#):
>
> Alternatively, fact may also indicate an allegation or stipulation of something that may or may not be a “true fact”,[7] (e.g., “the author’s facts are not trustworthy”). This alternate usage, although contested by some, has a long history in standard English.

In the context of the OP, your sarcasm is appropriate, but taking your statement literally, I could point out plenty. Just watch an episode of Fox News. 😉

Nerding over. Resume humor.

In the Japanese classification system (it is like gender only there about 20 cases), whales are fish and squirrels are birds. Hence both were edibile even when there was a taboo against eating mammals.
