Yes, back when I was a rowing and canoeing counselor at Scout summer camp. Great job, though, and I’m still in touch with two of my cabinmates. TNP has lived for more than three days in a cabin. ---

Almost. I was part of a wedding party that stayed in cabins in the Appalachian mountains. We got there on Friday about noon, and left Sunday evening, so not quite. The Next Poster is already excited that Christmas is coming. ---

Not sure what is missing in “doesn’t for holidays”, but I enjoy holidays and family get-togethers and love going to church on all major feast days. The curmudgeon in me doesn’t like excessive planning, decoration, commercialization, and early preparation for what should be joyous and mostly solemn observances. Yeah, kinda. But I tell teenagers who show up in everyday clothes toting pillowcases, “No costume, no candy.” TNP thinks “fun size” candy ought to be much larger. ---

Yes, it’s a gargoyle/dragon/demon thing my daughter made when she was in Jr. High (she’s now 37). We put it up every year. The Next Poster has actually bobbed for apples. ---

True, I usually only wear long pants for a couple hours at a time, so they hang on a hook until the second or third time. TNP usually goes barefoot in their own house and yard. ---
