Well, any set of observations is consistent with at least some variant of the simulation hypothesis, so there are no observations which would disprove it, so nobody ever goes through figuring out what the empirical implications are (since you can’t), so if that’s your standard (a reasonable one I might add), then no, nobody takes the simulation model seriously.
