I think there’s laws against that.

Theft _and_ copyright violation? Do you really wanna piss off God and the FBI at the same time?

So now your sister’s on a terrorist watch list instead of you. Good on you, kind brother.

Naturally I can’t object to taking possession of _that_ particular image 😃 but FFS, why would you need more than one copy? Sperm washes off with a damp cloth, and your karma rating could really be improved by sharing the wealth with others instead of hoarding it all for yourself.

At that time I had been living on campus in an 8 bedroom flat with [T] (see the story). At that time she had put up some free postcards (ads) on the walls and I put up a lot of posters on the walls and ceilings. I intended those posters for the lounge I guess. Though the first night I was back I did stupid things and got kicked out.

I’ve been made aware of the Procter and Gamble logo controversy:

> **[Procter & Gamble](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Procter_%26_Gamble#Logo_controversy)**
>
> The Procter & Gamble Company (P&G) is an American multinational consumer goods corporation headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, founded in 1837 by William Procter and James Gamble. It specializes in a wide range of personal health/consumer health, personal care and hygiene products; these products are organized into several segments including beauty; grooming; health care; fabric and home care; and baby, feminine, and family care. Before the sale of Pringles and Duracell to Kellogg's and B In 20...

> …The accusation was based on a particular passage in the Bible, specifically Revelation 12:1, which states: “And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of 12 stars.” P&G’s logo consisted of a man’s face on the moon surrounded by 13 stars, and some claimed that the logo was a mockery of the heavenly symbol alluded to in the aforementioned verse, thus construing the logo to be satanic.

It ignores the woman clothed in the Sun, the moon is not under her feet, and the 12 stars were her crown.

This doesn’t explain why there is a man with a beard there and why the stars are around him rather than being his crown.

> [@](#):

> …Where the flowing beard meets the surrounding circle, three curls were said to be a mirror image of the number 666, or the reflected number of the beast. At the top and bottom, the hair curls in on itself, and was said to be the two horns like those of a ram. **The moon-and-stars logo was discontinued in 1985 because of the controversy**

For that to happen there must have been a very large number of people who were convinced that the logo deliberately had Satanic connections. I for one don’t see the connections.

For people who think Lucent has NOTHING to do with Lucifer (like everyone here I guess), try doing a google search for

lucent technologies 666 5th ave

there are about 10,000 matches. It seems pretty clear that Lucent used to be based at **666** Fifth Avenue…

Just another meaningless coincidence, right?

In fairness to JC…hmmm a coincidence? JC…

Heh anyway that is such a stupendously bad marketing move I almost have to think it was intentional.

> The BSD Daemon, nicknamed Beastie, is the generic mascot of BSD operating systems. The BSD Daemon is named after software daemons, a class of long-running computer programs in Unix-like operating systems—which, through a play on words, takes the cartoon shape of a demon. The BSD Daemon's nickname Beastie is a slurred phonetic (in American English) pronunciation of BSD. Beastie customarily carries a trident to symbolize a software daemon's forking of processes. Fuzzy Dunlop said “Bell Labs” is synonymous with “Lucent”…

He also said “It [Inferno] was stupid because the **Satanic branding** was an awful idea”

Some of the people behind that wouldn’t have a diagnosed mental illness. I find it amazing that the connections just keep on growing!

I’m saying that the main themese are Satan and Hell/Fire (inferno)… if someone had to think up the perfect number of complement this theme out of any number in existence, I think it would be 666 which as we’ve just learnt is where Lucent began…

It seems odd that they didn’t mentioned their NY address which I think they would have still been at… if they had have mentioned the NY address I would have picked it up instantly when I first found the ad at a mental hospital.
