It’s been a little while since I’ve posted because of the whole not-being-able-to-get-online thing (yeah, it sucks… I hate not having internet access at work! ☹ ) and from the looks of things, I’ve missed a lot of the good stuff. _sigh_ Soon, soon… 😉 For those curious, here’s an update on things… The job is going wonderfully (other than the lack of internet access). I’m still hunting diligently for an apartment (anyone in the area know of any for rent? Really inexpensive???) I’m learning my way around and only have gotten semi-lost going to work twice. (Nothing bad, I swear! Just walking around the same block twice coming out of the subway station…) Thanks to **Pucette** , **Maeglin** and **Gadarene** , I’ve become a hearts addict. Many nights, you can find me getting my butt kicked by the other three in game after game. 😃 I’ve met some of the wonderful local area Dopers in the last couple of weeks, and am still hoping to meet more and more. (I have side trips planned, still, to see **Verrain** , **dantheman** , and anyone else I can coerce **lurker** into taking me to see, once things settle down a bit!) So that’s about it with me… I just wanted to let people know what was going on here, in case you wondered why you hadn’t seen me around for awhile. (Someone _did_ wonder why you hadn’t seen me around in a while, didn’t you??? 🙂 ) Anyone want to give me a quick synopsis about all the goodies I’ve been missing??!!! (Boy, I can’t wait until I can get back on full time so I can keep up with these things rather than having to spend six hours checking up on my back log myself!!!) ---

I won the first contest of being “Administrator for a Day.” They haven’t run the contest again since. Apparently after I won that first time, everyone realized what a horrible horrible horrible mistake had been made. I would link to the pertinant threads, but my actions as Administrator shamed the board so badly, all traces of it were erased. Um, yeah, that’s it. That’s the ticket. That’s what happened. And don’t be surprised if some people deny that incident ever taking place, since Cecil also had everyone’s memory erased to spare them the pain. I remember because Cecil wanted me to live with my shame as punishment. ---

Don’t listen to **Crunchy Frog**. The real reasons he isn’t an administrator, and wouldn’t even be one for a day? –He uses multiple "horrible"s without separating them with commas. –He can’t spell “pertinent” –“All traces of it” should be “All traces of **them** ” (Crunchy Frog’s actions) –“Everyone’s memory” should be “Everyone’s **memories** ” Sorry, Ron, but I had to pick on you. Well, my posting is still sporadic, but I’ve been managing to make it online a little more often than before! Thanks for all the well wishes, everyone. **Arden** - I’ve missed you too! Well, she’s done it! TP \ has found an apartment! \ It’s a rather large 1 bedroom apartment, with a nice walk-in kitchen and a huge bathroom (with a bathtub, which can be very exciting, I’ve found, if the person has had a horrifying 5-year experience with 12-inch-squared showers). She’ll be moving in on July 1st. She’ll be on soon with more details I’m sure… ---
